The article examines the treatment of sexually violent predators with unintended consequence of undermining and eroding due process and liberty in the justice system of the U.S. Topics discussed include position of exploring whether the State of Florida has deprived sexually violent predators with their constitutional rights, constitutional challenges in the Supreme Court to the Jimmy Ryce Act and State's parens patriae power or its police power.
