The article focuses on the function of phytoplankton in global climate change mitigation. The author denotes the diverse role of these phytoplanktons in maintaining the stability of several marine animals' life. It cites the functions of phytoplanktons in converting carbon into oxygen needed in the atmosphere and in the ocean.
