- Abstract
This research comes in response to the spread of some social problems (e.g. the dangerous driving behaviour of vehicles) and the existence of deficiencies in the educational rehabilitation programs for dangerous drivers in Saudi Arabia. It aims to single out reasons for dangerous driving, making a recommendation for safe driving in the country, to improve their behaviour and reduce vehicle accidents. The research uses a descriptive method and applies a questionnaire on 329 students at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University. The research concludes that there are no specialised programs for the rehabilitation of dangerous drivers. The most important reasons for dangerous driving is found to be the desire to violate the ethics of driving and imitating others, not to leave an appropriate distance between vehicles, drive with speeds more than legally specified, the use of mobile phones while driving. The research suggests educational rehabilitation programs for dangerous drivers. It recommends that curricula should include subjects on driving ethics.
