- Title
Assessing and modelling changes in rainfall erosivity at different climate scales.
- Authors
Diodato, N.; Bellocchi, G.
- Abstract
The article provides information on an erosive rainfall study to determine the interannual and interseasonal partitioning of rain erosivity and its evolution in Benevento, a part of the Calore River Basin (CRB) in south Italy. It cites a composite analysis of long-term climatic controls on rain erosivity in the area for the period 1869 to 2006. It notes the annual and seasonal dynamics trend assessment and erosity dynamics of Benevento in relation with their implications for soil erosion hazard using the quantile approach and an exploratory data analysis. Results show that rainfall erosivity in CRB can cause an increase in soil erosion rates in the area. Moreover, it states the study's significance in agro-landscape management towards sustainability.
