- Abstract
The article examines the attitude of beginning junior high school teachers in the U.S. The teachers' attitudes are categorized into eight types such as the friendly, systematic and imaginative, the aloof and dull. Attributes applied in the examination include subject knowledge, instructional skill, professional demeanor and discipline. Respondents are asked to classify the strengths of the beginning teachers. It was discovered that teachers who are strong in subject knowledge and instructional skill are the ones who are successful.
