- Abstract
The article offers information on the Japanese virtual pop singer Hatsune Miku. Particular focus is given to live performances featuring the digital character. Additional topics discussed include how the singer is projected using holographic simulations, how Hatsune Miku was originally a software for music creation distributed by Crypton Future Media in 2004 and how female gender and sexuality are programmed into the character.
