- Title
Chapter 11: Henoch-Schönlein purpura nephritis.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the treatment of adults and children having Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP) nephritis. Topics discussed include drugs angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitor (ACE-I) for children and adults, corticosteroid therapy for HSP with persistent proteinuria in children, and Mycophenolate mofetil. It suggests that randomized controlled trials (RCT) are required for immunosuppressive agents like cyclosporine and azathioprine which are effective in treating in HSP nephritis.
