- Abstract
Hydrogen venting system is designed to discharge hydrogen into the atmosphere safely and reliably in normal production or emergency situations. Hydrogen is a flammable and explosive gas with low ignition energy, and small static electricity and weak sparks can ignite hydrogen. The intrinsic safety design of hydrogen venting system must firstly choose the appropriate venting forms. On the basis of the appropriate venting forms, it is also necessary to take into account the effects of detonation, static electricity, lightning, venting pipe material, hydrogen flow rate in the venting pipe, height and direction of venting outlet, flame arrester and other factors. The current national standards for hydrogen venting system design are relatively simple. For the healthy development of hydrogen energy industry, it is suggested to strengthen the research of related standards, improve the safety provisions in the standards, and develop special hydrogen venting system.
