- Abstract
The article explores the growth of ecotourism on the Caribbean island nation of Dominica, providing definite benefits to the island. It says that the island has engaged the development of the ecotourism industry after experiencing a significant downturn in the export of its principal crop. In addition, the island is encouraging a disseminated economic development while stressing environmental protection and cultural conservation. It states that the island considers the industry to cause for economic growth and diversification due to its abundance in natural resources. It mentions that the island has not performed enough to ascertain whether or not the industry is gaining the desired results.
