El amor platónico "en pelota": desenmascaramiento del sublimado apetito sexual en la Rima de Bécquer.
- Authors
Mizrahi, Irene
- Abstract
This article offers poetry criticism of the works of Spanish poet Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer that deal with the theme of sexual desire. The author examines his use of irony, evident in "Rima I" and "Cartas literarias a una mujer," as literary instruments to parody the social norms and morals regarding sexual attraction at the time. Bécquer's juxtaposition of platonic love and sexual desire, as well as the use of religious imagery, is also analyzed. According to the author, Bécquer's use of subtext as a literary method allows for various interpretations of his works.
