The article present a case study of a 41-year-old patient with 4 weeks of a deep, aching sensation in the right posterior neck. Topics include Myofascial Pain Syndrome (MPS), a regional musculoskeletal pain disorder characterized by trigger points; pathophysiology related to muscle contraction; exercise, pharmacotherapy & procedural interventions; and emphasizing the differentiation between MPS and other pain syndromes.
