- Abstract
The beneficial role of dietary nitrate (NO SB 3 sb SP - sp ) supplementation on aspects of health and exercise performance via the nitrate-nitrite-nitric oxide pathway has received a great deal of attention. This suggests that following exercise these NO metabolites (NO SB 3 sb SP - sp and NO SB 2 sb SP - sp ) are reduced back to nitric oxide (NO) in skeletal muscle fibres.
