- Abstract
In this study grade students investigated the effect of educational games to develop vocabulary. In the study "Pattern randomized pretest and posttest controlled group" is used. The research in Nigde in May 19 Primary School was carried out on 60 students studying in the 6th grades.The both groups were randomly allocated to two groups. The data needed to test the research hypotheses, thirty-three questions developed by the authors of the two-choice questionnaire was obtained with the application. Practice survey, in the form of pre-and post-test, the experimental procedure, including the press, and finally, was applied to the students twice. The data obtained after the application, SPSS (Statistical Package for social sciences) were analyzed using a statistical software package.The "t-test" was utilized in order to determine whether there is statistically significant difference between the experimental and control student groups in analyzing the data. According to the findings of the research, "Games and action-training" in the experimental group and the "Traditional Method" is applied in between the control group, no significant differences were found in favor of the experimental group. The group concluded that the use of educational games to be more successful. According to the findings, suggestions were made to shed light on people and institutions.
