- Abstract
In this study, we aimed to identify the factors that impact on preference of shopping centers of costumers. In this context, the data is obtained from a survey which is conducted to shopping center customers in Malatya. This questionnaire was administered to 400 consumers in the January-February 2015. In the analysis were used descriptive statistical techniques, pearson correlation analysis, Mann-Whitney U Test, and Kruskal Wallis H test. Multiple comparisons between variables were made with non-parametric post hoc test. As a result of the analysis, there was a positive relationship between the preference of shopping center and monthly income of consumers. Furthermore gender, age, marital status, education, occupation and place of residence was found that the major factors affecting the choice of shopping center.
