- Abstract
The U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs passed in June 2005 federal legislation that will have a direct impact on the printing and mailing industries and their clients. The House to vote on its version of the bill after the July 4, 2005, recess. Both the House and Senate versions of the Postal Reform legislation contain two vitally important elements for printers and mailers: enhanced work share activity and hard caps on future rate increases tied to the consumer price index.
