- Abstract
With such, this article initially proposes, from this general view of the Amazon reality, the realization of a productive chain study for the biodiversity of products that may serve as inputs for the dermo-cosmetics industry and in general, for the bio-industry.Following, the study offers a model proposal to the implementation of a dermo-cosmetics sub-network, to be applied as a pilot experiment that would allow, later on, a broader action in the Amazon Region, articulating as many research and educationinstitutions as possible, as well as government and private sectors and communities that work in the dermo-cosmetics field. Initially, the article suggests the insertion of the States of Acre, Amapa, Amazonas, Para and Maranhao – which is considered a member of the Legal Amazon – for the implementation of the dermo-cosmetics sub-network in the Amazon, later on incrementing additional states, in which the cosmetics segment still finds itself in a less consolidated stage. This paper follows the study line traced in the first document by the Center of Strategic Studies and Management (CGEE), published in December , named “Biodiversity Innovation Network for the Amazon”. In the referred document, the main concepts, structure, academic, governmental and businesses actor, as well as the main communities that work in the cosmetics field in the Amazon are defined. Also, the governance mechanisms and best practices for actors’ articulation that will form the sub-networks are well stated.
