- Abstract
The article discusses several legal developments involving false advertising in cyberspace between mid-2011 and mid-2012, focusing on an analysis of various claims against competitors, the U.S. Lanham Act, and consumer class action lawsuits including one involving Hall of Fame baseball player George Brett's company. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission's dual role of protecting consumers and promoting competition is also addressed.
