- Title
JORDANES AND VIRGIL: A CASE STUDY OF INTERTEXTUALITY IN THE GETICA.
- Authors
Swain, Brian
- Abstract
The article presents a study on the intertextuality of the book "Getica," by Jordanes. It mentions that the book is the only source about the history of the Goths, in which it is divided into three sections; the origins of the Goths in Scandinavia, and the history of the Visigoths and Ostrogoths. It states that translator Charles Christopher Mierow noted that the style of Jordanes in making of the book was not very carefully made.
