- Abstract
The article examines the AluYAP element and five Y-chromosomes STRs in order to improve the genetic constitution of Afro-derived Brazilian populations. It also studied the ethnic male contribution in the constitution of four Brazilian quilombos. Based on the results, researchers concluded that there was a great European participation in the constitution of the four populations of the quilombos remnants.
