- Abstract
The article reflects on the transpacific friendship between the U.S. and Japan within the U.S.-led inter-state frames of war in the Asia-Pacific. Topics include the bitter agreement of Okinawa Prefecture's governor Onaga Takeshi to the U.S.-Japan joint construction of the V-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft landing pads in Takae, Takemura Kazuko's essay on the origin of American literary studies as an academic discipline in Japan and the modality of fraternity in the inter-state frame of war.
