- Abstract
The article presents the author's views on the American Empire, highlighting the connection between Pacific studies and Native American studies. The American Empire reportedly includes American Samoa and Puerto Rico which makes the U.S. the largest overseas territorial power worldwide. Also discussed are the principles and processes of territoriality, settler colonialism, and Pacific maritime territorialism.
