- Abstract
This document is a letter to the editor of the Saudi Journal of Anaesthesia, reflecting on a research article comparing two techniques for inguinal hernia repair. The author agrees that the study is novel but suggests further discussion. They point out that previous studies have compared similar techniques but did not include the specific technique used in this study. The author also questions the conclusion of the study, as the pain scores and fentanyl consumption were higher in one group. They suggest considering factors such as the duration of spinal anesthesia and the use of standardized general anesthesia in future studies.
