- Abstract
The Wind Energy Conversion System has been considered to be the most promising Renewable Energy System owing to its fast developing technology; therefore, there is an increasing interest in exploiting this area. In the present paper, a three-phase Switched Reluctance Generator (SRG) with six stator poles and eight rotor poles, as a main part of a small-size wind power generating system, is studied. In what follows, the design and numerical magnetic field analysis of the considered SRG is carried out, and comparative results of acoustic noise and torque ripple are presented and analyzed, both in time and frequency domain.
