- Abstract
This paper subject to your attention the problem of treating the neutral from the power grids, in order to reduce the number of interruptions and increase supply safety for consumers which are connected to these networks. This problem is due to a phenomenon that occurred at a higher regularity (e.g. phase to ground fault 70-80% of all defects) with the establishment of the first alternating current (AC) electrical installations, namely the connection between phase and earth. The manifestation of this defect, the behavior of network fault and how long after the disappearance of the consequences for consumers, i.e. its removal, depends largely on how it is treated and neutral networks earth fault occurs. In the paper, a simplified schematic of an ATP based network for testing a shunt switch is presented. Several results obtained from simulations are discussed and future recommendations are directed.
