- Title
Sudden diffuse target blisters.
- Abstract
Erythema multiforme (EM) is an immune-mediated condition characterised by cutaneous or mucocutaneous (EM major) manifestations. Lesions are self-limiting, involving mainly the acrofacial sites, and in EM major oral mucosa is affected most of the times.1 Typically, it presents target lesions, with a round shape and a well-defined border. Corticosteroids and acyclovir administration is still controversial in the acute phase, but in patients with recurrent EM associated to herpes simplex virus antiviral prophylaxis should be considered.5 We declare that we have obtained the written consent from the parents of the patient for publication of the photographs in all forms and media.
