- Abstract
The article highlights the techniques on the design and construction of Bauhaus, an icon of the Modern Movement in architecture. It states that Bauhaus is the most well known and most documented example of using the steel windows in the reinforced concrete building. It mentions that Bauhaus variety of window types including conventional, face-fixed, and curtain requires a complex variety of fixings which are the major concern before its construction. Moreover, the three different basic window frame fixings including lugs and brackets, bolts and clamps, and steel lugs into brickwork or concrete joints are used for the three window types at all sizes.
