- Abstract
The article presents information on the role of England's property rights in becoming one of the superior powers in the world. It discusses the decline of China as a global power during sixteenth century and the rise of the English as military and economic superiority in the nineteenth century. It further discusses the global history, economic divergence and land transaction norms. It also focuses on the agricultural development in pre-industrial England and China.
