- Title
Preventive solutions needed on dangerous dogs.
- Abstract
The article reports on the response of the British Veterinary Association (BVA), the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA), and the Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons (SPVS) on a notice from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) in Great Britain in 2012. According to them, a preventive measure is needed for responsible dog ownership. Moreover, they emphasized that compulsory microchipping is ineffective without a well-regulated registration system.
