The article offers information on the Veterinary Laboratories Agency's (VLA's) disease surveillance report in England and Wales for September 2009. Penrith reported a sudden increase in Salmonella Dublin diagnosis in adult cattle in September. The Royal Veterinary College (RVC) diagnosed a two-year-old dairy cow with traumatic reticuloperionitis or tyre wire disease. Nine cases where diagnosed of patent fasciolosis in Starcross.
