- Authors
Graetz, Ilana
- Abstract
The author discusses her views on a study I. Richman et al on how changes in cost-sharing impacted colorectal cancer screening rates for Medicare beneficiaries. She cites a survey conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation in 2014 which found that only 43% of Americans knew that cost-sharing had been eliminated for the preventive services recommended by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force. She notes the need for more effective education and consumer decision to minimize potential confusion.
