- Abstract
The article looks at the U.S. Supreme Court case "King v. Burwell" and its impact on the Exchange Established by the State clause of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA). Topics include challenge posed by the case to a U.S. Treasury Department rule which allows all ACA health insurance exchanges to grant tax credits, rules governing eligibility for advance premium tax credits, and the importance of the premium tax credits on the number of Americans covered by health insurance.
