A Few Thoughts on Writing Medical Articles.
- Authors
DUKE, MARTIN
- Abstract
The author reflects on the styles of writing articles on medical topics. He states that medical publications adhere with a certain style and format and are usually prepared in an objective way. He cites the practice of physicians to prevent any display of emotion when tackling their subject matter and avoiding the usage of first person when referring to themselves in articles. He recommends that physicians should be permitted to reveal the human side of themselves and their literary skills when presenting articles to medical publications.
