- Abstract
The article argues on adolescent confidentiality in health care in the U.S. Clinicians are advised to understand laws concerning confidential services, including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act, and the capabilities of their electronic health records. Health care providers must also collaborate with HER vendors and information technology (IT) to secure privacy.
