- Abstract
With the consumer movement in health, families are taking increasing responsibility for decisions about health care. Disagreement among family members is not an infrequent occurrence when families are faced with important decisions (Olson, Lavee, & McCubbin, 1988). This study investigated the importance of gender role preferences to the decision-making strategies that couples employ and to the outcomes that they reach under conditions of disagreement.
