- Abstract
The article discusses several theories on unemployment and disadvantaged workers. Topics discussed include the job search theory of unemployment, the teenagers and women workers, and the role of public employment agencies. In addition, reference is made to racial trends in unemployment rates due to discrimination, together with the labor market, rates of school dropouts, and inflation. Finally, the article concludes by mentioning the higher levels of joblessness for workers in general, and mostly for disadvantage workers, and the imperative of implementing measures on fiscal and monetary stimulation.
