Battery safety basics.
- Authors

- Abstract
The article presents the safety basics for batteries commonly used in household devices and science laboratories. It notes that the hydrogen gas-content of the batteries can cause rapture to their compartments. However, they may be safe for classroom when used properly. It suggests students to use caution associating dry-cell batteries to increase voltage in series, to keep car batteries out of the laboratory, and to purchase manufacturer-recommended products and accessories. It points out that they should be trained on proper battery conduct including the knowledge of battery use hazards, the inspection for leaks and cracks, and the proper disposal of batteries.
