- Title
Complex and compensative effects by controlling 3D structure at nano scale.
- Abstract
The article reports that Toray Industries, Inc. from Osaka, Japan, develops a new nano-scale finishing technology where complex and compensative effects can be achieved by mixing more than two functional substances which forms a 3D structure at nano scale. A higher function of finish will be achieved using this technology by controlling the 3D structure or morphology of polymer blends at nano level. According to the author, higher function and durability can be attained by blending finishing agents with different functions which do not affect the realization of function of other agents and compensate for other functions. Several illustrations that show how the said technology works are also presented.
