- Abstract
The article examines challenges surrounding mergers and acquisitions approved by the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) since 1980s. It informs that under Section 203 of the Federal Power Act, the FERC must find these consolidating and complicating transactions consistent with the public interest. It also mentions about improving efficiency and performance of electricity industries.
