The article focuses on the portrayal of women's roles in Nigerian video films and focuses on the understanding of how each industry portrays males and females. Topics discussed include conceptual framework adopted for the paper is content analysis; issues of spectatorship and female representation in feminist film theory; and analysis of films from Noiiywood, Kanywood, and Yoruba film industries.
