Presents a discussion on the assessment of post-surgical morbidity, language and memory lateralization before epilepsy surgery through the injection of sodium amobarbital under angiographic guidance known as the Wada test. Description of Wada test as gold standard for pre-surgical assessment but it is highly invasive and has very small but serious complication risks; Examination of the study on language lateralization in 100 patients with epilepsy; Details of the study on the difference of outcome between temporal and extra-temporal resections.
