- Abstract
This article presents a study which evaluated the efficacy of Passive Refrigeration (PRS), a system developed for the preservation and transport of perishable products, in the storage of different fish products. Fish products used for the experiments include mussels, clams, cod, moscardino and cuttlefish. Results showed that the PRS technology was effective in extending the shelf life of shellfish and cod, but less effective in cephalopods.
