In this article author discusses the fiscal policy framework and target structure adopted by the Government in Great Britain. He explains that the policy was adopted by Conservative Government but budgeted in 1988-1990. He mentions principles proposed by A. C. Piqou which allows the government to borrow for investment. In addition, it also discusses the analytical framework developed by R. Barro and J.S. Flemming.
