- Abstract
A biography of Stella Annie Burry, a Canadian community worker, is presented. She was born on August 11, 1897 in Newfoundland and Labrador and grew up with the family of fishers. Burry has attended schooling at the Church of England and later at the Methodist School. She worked as a deaconess in Toronto, Ontario and was a delegate in the inaugural meeting of The United Church of Canada. The Stella's Circle, which was headed by her, offers education, employment, and counseling services.
