- Abstract
After the implementation of the “Double Reduction” policy, the school teaching environment is changing tacitly, and teachers’ perceptions of these changes have affected their daily work. Based on the Intensification Thesis, this paper analyzes the changes in teachers’ perceptions of the “Double Reduction” policy in primary and secondary schools. It finds these changes are promoted by the school administration through changing the campus environment, altering teachers’ perception of the policy and enhancing their own initiative. All of these affect the degree of teachers’ internalization of the policy. Therefore, this paper suggests creating a nurturing environment, paying attention to teachers’ diverse needs, and stimulating their internal motivation to improve policy internalization.
