- Abstract
To realize lightweighting of the 260 concrete piston of a pumping system, its pressure plate and connecting rod are optimized and designed respectively. The pressure plate is casted by ZG45 instead of machined by 45 round steel, and a topology optimization structure is used, which reduce the mass from 8.3 kg to 6.0 kg. The connecting rod is reasonably disassembled according to the stress situation, and aluminum alloy is used instead of 40Cr to reduce the mass of the less-stressed parts. The total mass of the optimized concrete piston is 20.02 kg, which is 27.8% less than that before optimization, with higher material safety coefficient, better disassembling and assembling operability and unchanged total cost.
