A commentary is presented on a study published within the journal's issue about Group A Streptococcus puerperal sepsis (GAS), especially its association with morbidity and mortality. The author cites key findings of the study that are most urgent for practicing obstetrician, namely the incidence of GAS puerperal sepsis, the rise of its incidence, and the occurrence of case clusters.
