- Abstract
In this study, it is aimed to examine the effects of organizational silence on teacher motivation. In line with the purpose, data collection tool consisting of personal information form, organizational silence and work motivation scales; It was applied voluntarily to 253 teachers working in the Küçükçekmece district of Istanbul in the 2022-2023 academic year. The obtained data were evaluated by means of SPSS 22.0 statistical program in computer environment. As a result of the research, it was determined that teachers' organizational silence was at a high level. In the research, it was determined that the teachers provided a high level of motivation from their work. As a result of the analyzes, it was determined that only the school environment has a negative effect on the motivation of the teachers from the dimensions of organizational silence, while the other dimensions do not affect the motivation levels of the teachers. In general, it has been concluded that organizational silence negatively affects teacher motivation and reduces teachers' motivation at the level of 6.4%.
