- Abstract
The article reports on the disciplinary boundaries of Canadian identity after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Included were civilizational identity, challenge of the anti-imperialist feminism, and multiculturalism. It discussed the speech delivered by Sunera Thobani on October 2001 which reflects on notions of Canadian national identity and belonging in the post-September 11 time. Thobani was once affiliated with the National Action Committee on the Status of Women, an umbrella group representing Canadian feminists and women's organizations. She is a professor at the University of British Columbia.
