- Abstract
The article presents legal developments in marketing with particular focus given to the regulation of product characteristics. One of the developments describes a cease and desist order issued by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission against GSC Electronics Inc., ordering it to stop making false performance claims for its products without an appreciable number of customers obtaining that level of performance. A second development describes another cease and desist order issued by the Commission against New York Feather Co. Inc., ordering it to stop misrepresenting the amount of feathers in its pillows.
