- Abstract
The article discusses the political aspects of the lack of alien, or UFO (unidentified flying object), abduction of Asian Americans in U.S. popular culture, including in regard to the alleged similarity in description of aliens with racial stereotypes of Asian Americans. An overview of the relationship between U.S. citizenship and alien abduction, including the depiction of the white woman by the racial other in film and fiction, is provided.
